JEMINI VENTURE

the band:

Jemini Venture was established in late 2010 by accomplished singer and fiddle player Marguerite Gravois, bringing together a group of musicians including guitarist and mandolin player Jim Bookter; vocalist and bass player Kathryn "Kat" Carlson; and resonator guitarist and banjo player Paul Pittman.  Playing a variety of music encompassing numerous genres such as Americana, bluegrass, country, blues, and even a hint of jazz, the group has performed locally in south Louisiana and regionally in the southeastern United States.  Additionally, the band has recorded and performs original music, which includes the contributions of former members Linda Robinson, Danny Williams, Mark Raborn, and Melissa Yarborough. Currently performing as a trio (Gravois, Bookter, and Pittman, with Pittman adding the saxophone to his repertoire), Jemini Venture continues to explore and expand its musical journey into the future.
