PAUL PITTMAN

Resonator guitar, banjo, saxophone

Originally from Forest Hill, Louisiana, Paul was raised around country and gospel music.  Initially playing bass for his church choir, he was a late-comer to bluegrass music when he was given a banjo.  After playing bluegrass banjo for awhile, he chose to play the resonator guitar as his primary instrument, and has been  influenced by such artists as Rob Ickes, Jerry Douglas, Andy Hall, and Randy Kohrs.  Somewhere along the way, Paul learned to play the saxophone (much to his parents' dismay) and has been able to add this instrumental styling to complement the more bluesy and jazz-infused tunes that have become part of the Jemini Venture sound.
